Tearing things down...Blowing things up....Running on Empty

My LCM sponsor and my-easy-promoter.com partner site owner
Jane Mark can really hit the nail on the head when it comes to
business on the net.

Admin Running on Empty- Jane's Sunday Sermon

Hi Jason

Tearing things down...
Blowing things up....

Have you noticed how easy that is to do?

We've all seen those movies of a demolition
of a building where it falls to the ground in
an instant. It is breath taking to watch

How long did it take to build the building?
A year? 18 months? 2 years?

We have the power to blow it up in
a nano second.

It seems to me that when people need
to tear things down or blow them up,
they are running on empty.

I'm not sure why people feel the need to
do this, but I sure am sure of one thing.

The tearers down
The blowers up

Will never be successful in business

Stop in on any given day to a marketing forum
and you will find three distinct group of
people

1) You find the newbies trying to learn their
craft.

2) You will find the teachers- many of whom
are successful on line and have a lot of great
advice to offer

3) You will find the naysayers, the gloom and
doom, everything's a scam people filled with
venom that pervades their language.
They are running on empty

Glance over the subject lines you see in your
emails that come in everyday.

I do that periodically just to keep me on
my toes.

Here is what I found
90% of the emails used a subject line that
invited you to open them like

"This will help you earn money while you sleep"
"How to grow a list in record time"

And then there was this one
Blankety, Blank is a Scam!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever noticed that when people
have nothing to say, they use a million
exclamation points. I guess it fills up
a lot of hot air and empty space:)

I opened the blankety blank one and sure
enough there was some Jack A who didn't
know what he was talking about bad mouthing
a program, he knew nothing about

How do I know he knew nothing about it
because he was talking about a program I
know well and his facts were 180 degrees
dead wrong.

I rarely do this and Always regret it when
I do but...

I took the time to write back to him and
point out some of the inconsistencies in
what he was saying

His response.

"Take me off your lists. I never want to
hear from you again!!!!!!!!"

I guess if you cover up your eyes and your
ears, those stubborn facts need never get
in the way.

The guy is running on empty

The problem with running on empty is that
the people who are out of gas, want to
drag you into their failures, their frustrations,
and their doom and gloom view of life

They are like frustrated children who want
to lasso you and rope you into their small
world that lacks understanding or vision.
That may be understandable with children.
For adults, it is hazardous.

Here's how I cope with those who are
running on empty.

I ignore them.
I delete their emails
I don't take their phone calls
I don't do lunch with them.

And every time I don't ignore them, I regret it.
I regret it because they drag me down, even if
only for a moment, into the wallow and mess
they have created for themselves.

They are running on empty.

The world is full of naysayers and lets
tear um up, blow um up people.

It's hard to turn a deaf ear to them.
They are in our emails
They are on the news
They are on the radio
They are in our blogs
They might even be our neighbors
They are running for office.

I have a trick I use when I encounter these
types of people and, when it is absolutely
impossible to ignore them.

Here's what I do.

I buy them a full time tank of gas.

Yeah, I know, I know.
That could get expensive these days but you
know what, it works like a charm

They are so flabbergasted...
They stop running on empty even if just for
a little while.

I like a full tank of gas.
How about you?

Have a great Sunday

Jane

This message hit very close to home as I've just had a
very nasty experience dealing with exactly the type of
person Jane decribes in this message.

Now I know exactly how to deal with ANYONE who displays
this type of negative and counter productive behaviour.

Sincerely,

Hello Jason,

I enjoyed reading this message of your sponsor. So true, everything she is writting there happens everyday.

We have to move on and let people just be fence sitters.

You were right, Jason!! Jane has a great sermon there.   Super advice too!  I deal with the counter productive behavior in a family member more than on line, but it's the same thing - I think I will get him a tank of gas.

Drags me down every time I am around him.  I really don't have a lot of time for negative thinking.  First off, I am getting "up ther".  The days seem a bit shorter and my energy level stays up a whole lot longer when there are only positives and positive thinking surrounding me.

Thanks - great way to start a Sunday morning, though I am off to church shortly and will pray all the way that the Sermon there rings as true as this did!!

Hi Dimitra,

It was great to see your post here.

Thanks coming by and reading my post.

Jane makes more in one day than most people
earn in month.

I tend to  listen to her advice as she has helped
me on more than one occassion when I asked
her or her partner Phil for some marketing advice.

Her advice to build my lists was golden and increased
my business significantly.

Here's 2 FREE sites where you can build a viral mailing
list of 100% opt-in members.

This opt-in part is very important.

I just deleted an affiliate from my site
friday as they genereted 1 s.p.a.m complaint
from another webmaster.

So using a member mailer like these is becoming
increasingly important.

One last thing....

I'm on a mission to  beat some GURU's in Jane's
$1 per free referral contests.....are you  game to
to get some FREE advertising, build your lists and
help me, "the little guy" kick some GURU butt???

It's a win/win situation but I'll need all of
my Adlandpro friends
to help in order to
show up some of these heavyweights

Thank you!

Hi Judy,

You don't let that person affect you.

Every time I've spoken to you it has
been fun and positive, just like you
are.

Thanks for reading my post and responding
with your own feedback

I'm just happy you got something
positive from my post

Sincerely,

Jason
