SUNDAY SHOWCASE_ Featuring JIM ALLEN III 12/30
12/29/2007 7:23:27 PM
The last Showcase of 2007, i want to thank you all for your partisipation and your friendships, all of you make this community for what it is, one with a heart. HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Jim Allen III is from Middle Tennessee but seems to be right here in everyones lives. He's like an older brother to me.  Being short on time i will just leave you with his long version of where he's from .                 WE LOVE YOU JIM. Thank you.

Raised is Middle Tennessee in the 70's.  Southern to bone,
opinionated, resolute, intelligent, moral, would vote Charlie
Daniels for president, southern rock and rockin' country music
lover, God fearing, sometimes hostile and a Redneck to boot.

Been wed twice and happily married once.  We produced a fine
young man that is my namesake.  Just too young and immature the
first time around.  The second time I found my soul mate, Pam.
Pam and I have been together 22 years well, 23 on this past
October 31st.

I helped raise one and we made one together.  They both are fine
young men as well.  for those interested I have some Family Pics
Here from my inlaws recent visit with us in Florida.

I have made many mistakes and have had quite a few successes. My
resume is quite long, my experiences many and my desire to share
the knowledge is huge.

ALP's friend to everyone Mr. Nick Sym recently posted a
Horoscope thread defining the many different personalities
associated with our star signs.  I am a Gemini and he pegged me
pretty good.  Your Stars (Nick)

My work experience is multi-faceted and 35 years in the making.

I started off pitching hay and cutting tobacco, moved up to
delivering flowers by van in Nashville, for Richland Florist.
About that time and my 18th birthday, I dislocated my ankle
playing basketball at the playground in Ashland City.  After
recuperating, I became a courtesy car driver for the prestigous
Preston Lincoln Mercury in Nashville.  Worked my way up to
service writer, before the dealership closed and I was
umemployed.

This is when I checked into the employment office in Ashland
City, and found that the Cheatham County Ambulance was looking
for driver/EMT's and they would train.  So I became an EMT and
worked for the service for a few years.

During that time I became instructor certified in extrcation,
CPR, First Aid, Rescue, and eventually attended Paramedic
Training in Lima, Ohio.  Had I, taken the final exam I may still
be involved in the field today.  But there were what seemed
valid reasons then, not to continue.

Instead we moved toChicago, where I became a carpenter.

I carried a journey man's union card.  I had to have it to hang drywall on those
skyscrapers they built there in the late 70's early 80's.  Back
then a journeyman carpenter was making $15.38 an hour.  That was
good money then.   ... to be cont'd...

I know how to make impressions on folks at first meeting and
turning them into profitable relationships.  In my early days, I
received training from some of the best minds in direct sales
and marketing.  The insurance business believes in Dale
Carnege's teachings.

I am glad they did because that kind of training would cost you
thousands of dollars today. At that time my sales manager even
taught us how to dress successfully even down to our socks.  Do
you believe it?!

Whether it be a potential employer or client.  I learned a long
time ago it was easier to help folks spend their money wisely
than to sell them something.  As you know there is a Big
Difference and it can make a difference in your income level.

As an in-home energy consultant, I help folks make decisions
regarding their family's personal comfort.  As it relates to
their indoor air quality and energy consumption of their home
comfort systems.  This has been quite rewarding and fulfilling
for the Allen family.

Especially here in this tropical Florida climate.  Folks really
need assistance in knowing what choices are available to them.
Mold and fungi are a real issue here, with the elderly and folks
with respirotory issues.  They really like reducing their carbon
footprint and saving money too, on their home energy costs.
Plus they are more comfortable in their homes.

My online experience started in 1999, as a way to keep up withmy
Dad and to assist my then 8 year old son Cody, with his
education.  We now have 3 computers in the house and a 15 mbps
internet connection.  I must say that I have learned lots and
still have a lot to learn.

My life experience in sales and marketing along with nearly
always being the new kid on the block most of my life. ( my
father, was a Marine, {please remember a Veteran} so we moved
around alot)  I do mean a lot too.  12 years of public schools
education, i went to 22 different achools.  Seems I was always
having to adapt to new surrounding and environments.  It did
provide me with an invaluable education.

Which has helped me tremendously online and off.

I have been involved with many start ups, and Master Mind with
guru types on a regular basis.  You know the ones that don't
seek the limelight.   I also participate with many forums and
communities online and have several web properties.

Many of which I share in my ALP forum " Jim Allen's Everything
is Open for Discussion "  I invite all Adland Friends and
visitors to join a discussion.  If you have a topic you would
like a frank and open discussion, just start a new thread and
post there often.  I will chime in too as I have an opinion on
just about everything.  LOL

As someone that usually works in the background on many
projects, I am not used to being so honored and in the
spotlight.  Thank you for including me in your votes of
confidence.

Thanks Thomas,

For doing this Sunday Showcase Feature of me.  I really
appreciate our friendship and all the great work you do in the
community.

Sincerely,

Jim Allen III
