Centers for Disease Control, "There has been an
increase in the number of women, of females, with
asthma as compared to males… In fact, the rates
have gone up 105 percent for females over the
past 15 or so years compared to about 41 percent
increase for males."

Women still do the primary care giving and house
cleaning. [They] are exposed to house dust much
more, exposed to chemicals in the form of cleaning
solvents more than men
