I got this really inspiring email yesterday from Ken Heikkila in Rochester New York.

Ken is a guy who always wanted to make it as a professional musician but could never crack the code.  Profoundly frustrated, working stupid odd jobs and never pursuing his true passion, he languished until stumbling upon the Vocalix Direct Opportunity.

This year I've watched this guy apply himself with diligence.  He's meticulously tested and tracked and listened to his customers with care.  Thus going from newbie to wobbly, to slowly sure of himself, to hitting his stride during 2007.  Got this note from Ken and his wife and their cats.  Hope this inspires you, too:

I'm over the hump and make enough money now
to stop the worries and do what I want to with my life.

With ten+ signups a day and split testing 3 sets of
one year autoresponders, I'm zeroing in on creating a
responsive market even more responsive.

A market that Overture found to be only 157
per month when I started.

It just drains the blood from my relatives' faces when I
tell them how I am back to being who I'm supposed
to be with my vocalix business.  They were all hoping I would flop
and that my Google Adwords folly so they could say,
"I told you so".

One told me to just get a real job as a bus driver !

So much for their 'in my face' attitude about my online
"hobby".  Will I ever get what Paul Simon is probably
still waiting for from his father ?  Doubtful, but it matters
not.  I know from the responses I receive from my
subscribers that I am making a difference, a real
difference in their lives around the globe.

I'm writing a book, slowly recording a CD and writing
lesson series to offer my subscribers, now numbering over 2,000.

All in less than a year because of you and I hope to meet you
in 2008.  Your roundtable may never be in my cards but
what a thrill it would be for me to discuss the ideas I've developed
about internet marketing with an elite group of Socratic
Laptoppers.  I'm hoping for it, nonetheless.
