This is a true story.  This actually happened.

After our car was totaled in an accident, we rented a Mitzubishi Mirage until we could find a new vehicle. During this time one of my wife’s coworkers came into work all excited because her husband had just bought her a new car. When asked what kind it was, the coworker replied that it was a Mitzubishi. Curious if it was like the car we were renting, my wife asked her if it was a Mirage. "No," she replied with a toss of her blond curls, "it’s a real car!"

My husband had a Ford Aerostar van a long time ago, it was called an "extended cab" length, and one of his coworkers asked if the van could extend and contract like an accordian, the man wanted a demonstration!  Well it didnt do that, it was just called an "extended cab" not extendABLE cab.
