There are so many great kids that do wonderful things in our Communities, but far too often the public never hears about those youths. This week I chose to write about a Teen Group called "Youth Through A Better World". When they originally in started back in 2000 they had a different name, "Teens Against Domestic Violence", but soon afterwards they realized there were many more issues in the world that needed to be addressed as well so they changed their name.

The organization was started by Lindsay Logsdon, and they operate out of Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada. All the the youth involved in the organization care about the world, people, environment and animals on our planet. They also believe that there is hope for a better tomorrow, and that young people are the answer to today's problems. They are very dedicated and hard working teens that truly are trying to make a difference.

This Teen Organization is doing a number of things to help the world around them, but I am only writing about one of the many different projects that they are working on.

* CARE BAGS PROGRAMME - The kids help by making up care bags of items that are needed for children that have to leave their home in a hurry for whatever reason. They get items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, shampoo, soap, etc. so that these kids will have something of their own when they end up leaving with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
