Recent Prayer Request
Please join us in praying for those affected by the wildfires in Southern California,
where President Bush declared a federal disaster area on Tuesday, October 23rd. As of Wednesday afternoon, a total of 16 fires have caused widespread damage across more than 410,000 acres in Southern California, destroying more than 1,750 homes and businesses. Over 1 million people have been displaced from their homes. Every major freeway leading out of San Diego has been closed or gridlocked at some point. Tens of thousands of people anxiously wait in temporary shelters, such as Qualcomm Stadium and Del Mar fairgrounds, to find out if their homes have survived the blazes. The fires have impacted HOPE worldwide staff and volunteers in the San Diego area, and we are continuing to evaluate the situation. You can help by supporting our efforts to help those affected by the disaster. Click below to contribute to the HOPE worldwide Disaster Response Fund.
