This is a chronicling of my journey to True Success thru finding the right Roadmap to Riches. The most crucial part of my journey has been finding the right track to be on - the right roadmap.
One can be on the Internet and be taken in by all the offers, compelling advertising copy and just the overwhelming amount of information available. It's really difficult to focus. One needs to find a Mentor, someone willing to take his time and money to train you and teach you how to focus. He also will show you how he did it - blazing that trail ahead of you - so you don't have to make all the mistakes and be overwhelmed by all the hype out there.

One can be on the Internet and be taken in by all the offers, compelling advertising copy and just the overwhelming amount of information available. It's really difficult to focus. One needs to find a Mentor, someone willing to take his time and money to train you and teach you how to focus. He also will show you how he did it - blazing that trail ahead of you - so you don't have to make all the mistakes and be overwhelmed by all the hype out there.
I tried to "go it alone," but found that all I was doing was looking at offers all day (doing research) and never actually getting anything done, or making any money. And, like many of you, I didn't have a lot of money, I tried to do it for nothing – hey, I was broke (isn't that what all the offers say, "Free this and Free that.)
I accepted at an offer for a free website. Well it wasn't free, cuz they wanted me to upgrade; host the site; submit it to search engines; buy ads for it from the people "giving" you the website (actually that’s a good marketing technique – it’s called guided sales, I still promote the free website for the “newbie.” It’s a great way to start.)
After that experience I could see I will never get to first base by myself, and that nothing is free, so I investigated a couple of training systems (one of them wanted $1800 for a half an hour consult per week lasting 4 months, which, afterwards, you had to write a testimony and go to a conference) and decided to join one that you paid $1000 and got access to live and archived Webinars where you actually see where he was clicking on websites to do his marketing.
He trained me how and where to submit ads, articles, emails, press releases and blogs. He showed me exactly how he was doing it and how to automate the process. He then taught me how much action was needed to succeed in marketing - it was massive. Hundreds of ads need to be placed in hundreds of places. It's like Coca Cola; they have their signs (presence) everywhere.
He said people buy from people not companies or websites. They trust people, so I registered my name as a dot com. Now I am the CEO of VinceSalzer.com. See you can trust me!! I'm a real person!!
Actually I learned that all the “hype” out there is just people trying to write compelling content so we investigate and join their opportunity. They all work, (yea, there are a few dishonest idiots out there – less than 5%.) It’s just that one needs to pick a program one and go for it. I don’t even think it makes much difference which one.
The difference is made in actually doing what they teach, if you can get the help. This attitude keeps me from getting jaded and skeptical – helps me to keep a positive attitude, which is very crucial. I now look at those ads and try to see what compels me about them and how I can use that to promote my business. It becomes a learning process.
So this journey continues. The Internet is a fascinating place with awesome potential. So wherever you are and whatever your dreams are, they are worthwhile and can be achieved by this wonderful vehicle to access the world and your success!!
