My Son

Hello all,

My son Ryan, left for Marine bootcamp on Monday.  I know he is going to become a proud defender of our country.  I am so very proud of him .... but I miss him terribly.  Please pray for his safety and health as well as for our family who is having a hard time being without Ryan.

Hi Eileen,

Maybe he will come home sooner than you think!  I don't know about the Marines but the Air Force sends people home if they don't pass the stress testing.  They are sending my son back from bootcamp, I don't know if they're being overly cautious because it's a time of war or because of all the AbuGraib stuff a couple years ago or what, but the AF isn't sending anyone with iffy personalities forward into the military.  Iffy?  If he's gonna go ballistic or if he's not...!

Well, I want him to do well through the bootcamp training.  It is what he's had his heart set on for so long and has been in physical training for quite some time.  I pray God helps him handle whatever the Marine's can throw at him.  It's all for his own good.

I'm sorry your son is coming home early.  Maybe God has other plans for him!  Or maybe he's learned whatever he was supposed to.  Remember .... "All things work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose".

Eileen

Yes, my son was also very eager to go, he spent several months getting ready and he was very disappointed at their decision to send him home.  He said the AF sent a lot of recruits home, I don't know why they are so picky!  I had a feeling that he wasn't really gone, though.  Maybe inside I knew that wasn't the right decision for him.  Now he has to find a job in the real world, that's not easy either.
