Halloween
The time of year has come when
kids get dressed up like in a dream,
Running the neighborhood blocks this
night with no complaints if they scream.
When I was young listening to stories
when it came to this time of year,
How all the young children dressed up
to show they absolutely had no fear.
Never knowing who was near you until
were close enough to hear who was there,
Costumes were all done by hand from
borrowed
clothing and cosmetics from you know where.
You could always see scary Ghosts, Ghouls,
Goblins and wart nosed broom riding
Witches,
Also out this night is dressed up little
Angels,
boys dressed as girls, and Hobo’s full of
stitches.
All over the street people look for the
neighborhood
mummy that had started to unravel,
With all the Aliens who were ready for
their ship
to pick them up to go on their space
travel.
Taking the street blocks over for the night
where
they were free to pull pranks and to roam,
By the time the older ones got home from
running
from the neighbor’s their mouths were full
of foam.
Filling everyone full of laughter and joy
giving
everyone a enjoyable memorable sight,
Gathering the spoils which were given with
Love
by the neighborhood on this Halloween
night.
