As a wannabe, quasi-armchair philosopher like myself, these are the questions that start the wheels turning inside my head.

It's an interesting coincidence  that I'm watching the introductions and speeches at the President's Cup in Montreal. Hearing interesting tidbits about some players as their teams were introduced,  Gary Player mentioned something about Vija Singh that  stood out.  Starting his career without  a nickel ar even a pair of golf shoes, he's where he is in the field of golf. Won't blame an aspiring athelete in golf to think, if VJ can do it so can I.  Golfing may not be our interest but in like in anything, do what the winners have done. 

On perception, the term viewpoint also comes to mind. Have you had the experience where you were required to appear as a witness? If not, then do not feel or be intimidated that your perception of what happens is not correct. You saw or experienced what you did from a different point that others, therefore other's view will be different. Another example is what happens when you hike up a mountain trail, which I have done on more than one occasion. Mt. Cheam is the first of series of peaks that are behind one another. From one perspective you do not see the ones behind the first. During part of the climb to its 6,913 ft. peak, you see even less, only trees, sky and silence. As one nears the summit, one's pain and exhaustion turns to unequaled victory within grasp, witnessed by 360 degrees of mountain peaks and valleys that span the 49th parallel and to the coast.

Personal growth is a tough one. The web is a fantastic thing; just google "personal growth" and you'll see a lot of good reading that you didn't do when you where is school. Only one site is http://www.about-personal-growth.com/

I feel good about not doing a segway into one of the main reasons why I use the this keyboard and the web. It was my perspective of maintenance and operation expenses and emissions could be reduced along with building a business that would last for my kids and grandkids. It's proved to be wise move that has nurtured personal growth for myself and many others I've been watching.
