Hello friends,
I have been reminded this week on two separate conference calls of the importance of taking time each day for MYSELF.
On a call with with Alice Greene through the new community at http://DaringWomenNetwork.com , Alice said that she takes 4 hours for herself every morning before she begins her day. She gets up early and she spends this time preparing herself for the day so that she has more to offer throughout the day
Although many of us may not be willing to take four hours, Alice really touched me.
By the way, the Daring Women Network is a new community for "daring women." Take a look and see if you want to be a DARING woman...

Then on Diana Kennedy's call with Steven Lane Taylor, author of the Row, Row, Row: Living Live in the Divine Flow - http://RowRowRow.com - I heard Steven say that the most important thing you can do to get your day to "flow" (as in the Divine Flow) is to spend some time each morning in meditation.

Rememer that mediation does not have to be complicated and you don't need to go into any kind of trance. You can just sit quietly for as long as you have and focus on your breathing. When thoughts come up, notice them and let them go.
I have heard it said that prayer is TALKING TO God and meditatation is LISTENING to God.
You will find yourself more focused throughout your day.
Both of these calls were timely reminders for me to remember to honor my own spiritual practice, so for the last two days I have closed my office door in the morning and I don't go running to my computer first thing in the morning.
I am spending time with ME, reading, listening to audio meditations, etc.
This morning I listened to one of the most powerful meditations I have ever heard. It was all about gratitude and reminded me to remember to be grateful for things like the people who pack our foods in the grocery store and the people who work at the power plant to create our electricity.
That meditation is from - http://TrainYourBrainSystem.com - and it was totally life changing in 30 minutes. My entire mind an perceptions changed. I felt different throughout the day... more peaceful and ease and I think I even acommplished more.
I'm going to write a separate note and share an article on the audio meditations available at - http://TrainYourBrainSystem.com
Do YOU have a personal spiritual practice you would like to share?
Do you meditate?
Tell us about how it makes a difference in your day.
Many blessings.
