Tackle your way to greatness in
online poker's most exciting pro sports competition for your chance to
win tickets to Super Bowl XLII in Arizona. The
Quarterback meets the King of Clubs in The Absolute Touchdown, a new
online competition that mirrors pro football's real-world schedule to
find out who deserves this year's Absolute Poker Bowl's title. REGULAR SEASON It all begins when you pick your favorite pro football team! Every
Saturday at 12 PM ET, you'll play in a No-limit Texas Hold'em
tournament where you'll represent your favorite team. You'll play with
your fellow teammates and those representing whomever your team is
playing against in the real-world pro football schedule. So if Detroit
is playing Chicago, your tournament will be made up of players
representing those two teams. The tournaments will be made up of
FreeRoll's and buy-ins, with a chance to win points and prizes on your
way to the final. Please remember that to play for your team that week
you will need to register before 12PM ET on the Wednesday before the
game. However, you only need to register once and you will be entitled
to play in every tournament. The
top 9 players in each tournament will earn points for their team with
the first place finisher earning 9 points and the 9th place finisher
earning 1 point. The points earned will accumulate over the 17-week
regular season schedule. THE PLAYOFFS After
the 17th week, the 16 teams that have earned the most points will head
to the play-offs where they'll play down to the final 2 teams in a
knockout style competition. The
team that will move onto the next round will be determined by whichever
team has accumulated the most points at the final table of each tourney. THE ABSOLUTE POKER BOWL The
Absolute Poker Bowl will be made up of players representing the final
two teams. At this time, points are out the window. You're playing to
own the tournament. Finish first in The Absolute Poker Bowl and you'll be heading to Superbowl XLII in Arizona, February 3rd, 2008.
