Have you ever noticed that your spiritual growth seems to come in themes?
It does for me!
For example, over the last several years I can see a pattern in my spiritual enlightenment... through realizing the value of asking and being open to receiving Divine guidance and inspiration to acknowledging that everything already is in perfect and Divine order and I don't really need to control anything at all. Imagine that!
For the last several weeks I have been thinking about what it means to surrender. I read a great article in Science of Mind magazine by Diane Harmony. She calls it "Sweet Surrender, a Spiritual Free Fall For The Soul." See her article below.
I remember when I was growing up in the south and we sang a song, "I surrender all." It always made me cry and I never really understood why.
This article reminded me that surrender does not mean giving up, it does not mean waving a white flag.
Surrender does not mean giving up your power. On the contrary... get this because it is really important... it means surrendering to a GREATER power, the power of God or the Universe or Divine Intelligence, which I have come to know has a greater understanding of what I need than I do.
So... once I can truly surrender... truly surrender and let go... the same thing as Let Go and Let God... all I need to do is ALLOW... Allow and Receive. Let it in!
Surrender and Allow.
Wow, what a relief it is to know that I do not have to control everything around me and that when I truly surrender and allow, all good things come flooding to me.
That is why my newsletter is late.
I have been surrendering and allowing... and it feels GOOD.
Now, I would not have imagined that so much good could come so quickly in so many different ways... but it did and it is.
You know I love networking online and I love having my own business(es) working from home. So, in the last three weeks I have been introduced to two new business and a new blogging system that is attracting people to these two new businesses.
They all came to me at the same time ... synchronicity and Law of Attraction in action.
I AM attracting those who are also interested in knowing more about these great opportunities and marketing resources.
BRIEFLY... the two new companies are...
A new company with a product made from Amalaki, a 5000 year old Indian fruit, endorsed by The Chopra Wellness Center (You know Deepak Chopra, right?) and owned by mega-millionaire Bill Farley. That's what got my attention initially and now I also love the Amalaki product.

2. SWEET SURRENDER

Sweet Surrender

"Thy Will (not mine) be done," when truly embraced, will create the opening for Spirit to reveal a realm of choices and opportunities impossible for us to know from our small, defended ego-driven selves. Here are a few testimonials from 5 GIFTS students:

Yield: To SURRENDER is to yield to the flow of Life rather than oppose it.
Relinquish: To SURRENDER is to let go of resistance to accepting what is, to allow ourselves to choose differently.
Resign: To SURRENDER is to reassign our little selves to the service of our Holy Selves and to the guidance S/He offers. We are resigning ourselves to more of the Goodness of God.
Submit: To SURRENDER is to submit our will to the Divine Will of God within us. We are submitting our inner ear to listening to the Still Small Voice that is forever offering Its inspiration to us.
In the words of a 5 GIFTS graduate,
Be sure to render it all to God . . . Sure to Render . . . Surrender.
When we give the GIFT of SURRENDER, it expresses in our lives as the quality of Trust. Usually we are called on to SURRENDER our way of believing and/or doing things when we are out of options and have nowhere else to turn. When the pain is too great, when what we've thought would work fails time after time, and when the resistance to change is so strong that our bodies are stiff and tight and our emotions are beyond frazzled, we find ourselves with no other choice than to give up and turn it over. To make that choice is to be at the headwaters of the River of Trust. Surrendering to the Power and Presence of God Within allows us to float freely on the Wisdom of the Holy Self, guided by the internal voice of Intuition and powered by the winds of the Love of God, to the shores of infinite possibility.
I SURRENDER TO THE POWER AND PRESENCE OF GOD WITHIN ME!

3. BE STILL LONG ENOUGH TO ALLOW
========
"Be still long enough to allow."
Surrender is “being” in the moment, understanding that all is as it is to be in the moment. It is allowing and acknowledging the Divine presence in our self and others, accepting ourselves as the “I AM”, the Divine, the Love that we are created to be. It is being willing to acknowledge the Spirit within and to release all attachment to the results. It is to be in peace knowing that all is being provided for in this moment and always.
As defined in practical terms, it is releasing all tensions, guilt, disappointment, judgements, expectations, attachments, desires and allowing the love that is always present within to be present. It is allowing others to be where they are at in the moment, loving them for all they are and all they are not.
Surrender is knowing there is nothing to do and all is in Divine order. In surrendering one experiences the peace, love, joy and happiness within and in doing so contributes to the peace, joy, happiness and love on the planet.
