Thanks for the invite. I have enjoyed reading everyones story.
I recently joined to do some exploration since I really live on the other side of the mountain in a different valley. I crossed over into your valley recently just to see what is going on.
Let me explain. I invented a product, it's patented and it has enjoyed some "retail success" in the marketplace. None of you want to know all the trials by fire that we have been put through bringing this product to market. Long story short in order to accommodate all the levels between manufacturing and a retail sale leaves us, who invented the product, with very little to show for our efforts. The only place the retailers and the wholesalers could think of to increase their profit margins was in my pocket.
Now that the product has had its run in the retail venue we find that it still has legs. Personally I always felt that it was a miracle that someone passed by it in a store, knew what it was and purchased it. On the other hand the greatest success for sales was when the product was sold via a real person utilizing a relationship methodology pointing out the features, functions and benefits of the product. The greatest day we enjoyed was when Oprah, holding the product in her hand, looked into the camera and said that every women watching should have one of these in her car for the ultimate in family safety. The orders rolled in for weeks following that free plug from Oprah.
Why am I in your valley? I am trying to find ways to get independent marketers to join my affiliate program and sell this product utilizing their relationship marketing skills. Our simple 2 tier program pays out 50%.
I would like to hear back from anyone who has ideas on how to reach these work at home relationship marketers who want to sell a product that almost everyone in the world, that drives a car, SUV or light truck, needs in their glove compartment.
Sorry if I got carried away, but I don't lack anything in the passion department.
Thanks for putting the forum together.
