BE GRATEFUL FOR NOW, IT'S HERE TO ENJOY
7/26/2007 8:12:17 PM

This is not an invitation to live in the past.

It's just that sometimes we take for granted what we have.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE THEN VISIT PAGE 6 FOR THIS WEEKS FUN, IT'S TASTY.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This is a simple idea that I would love to see spread.

I thought, the other day, as I passed the window at the top of the stairs, ''This a great view of my street''.

I remember,  before, I moved into this house, I had looked out from all the windows and thought ''I would like to live here and see that every day''.

When did I last look? The other day when the refuse guys were coming and I hadn't placed my rubbish for collection.

So, what am I saying?

In the next few days do something simple but new but with what you have.

The first little experiment was about your houses (see postings here).

Look for new fun with serious intent. DON'T TAKE YOUR LIFE FOR GRANTED.

Hi Roger,

Your post in Sam Sunday's Articles of Virtue Forum just blew me away and now this!!!

Great post, my friend!!  I have always heard that if you keep on doing what you's always done, you'll kepp on getting what you always got.  Great idea to change it up.  Do something different and new and keep it simple and maybe the results and maybe even the attitude toward it will change too.

It's funny how we stop noticing things that drew us to something in the first place.  We start taking them for granted.  We forget to stop and smell the roses, breath in the fresh air, take in the view from the window at the top of the stairs.  Aren't you glad you stopped and looked again and brought back all those feelings and images that you first saw??

Blessings, Roger!!

Hi Judy,

Thanks for dropping by. Your sentence could supply a name for Nick's forum. STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES!

Always a joy to write, even in the very early hours.

I am so glad that I did just that, stopped and smelt the roses.

My wife and my grandaughter are off to do just that now with me. I'll report back on my return.

Have a great weekend.

Hello Neil,

Thanks for the thought and the beautiful image.

The picture reminds me of a beautiful Japanese garden here in England.

There is a huge house that was owned by a successful shipping family and has since passed through several pop star type peoples hands.

A few years ago they opened their gardens for charity contributions.

I remember folks complaining about the rain.

I curled up in the corner of the tea house and just watched and listened to the rain.

One of the most peaceful moments I can remember.
