Hi, Tina,
I don't travel too much, but back in 2000, my oldest son lived in Chicago. I went and spent a week with him, and can't tell you how much I enjoyed it. I'm a big baseball fan (Atlanta Braves), but of course, I HAD to go watch the Chicago Cubs play Montreal Expos. It was on Father's Day, and all the players had their children out on the field, playing ball with them before the game started. It was nice! We went to Shaw's Crab House, one of the old restaurants that the gangsters and mafia used to go to back in the 30's. We also went to one of Oprah's shows. It was all most exciting. And since he has moved back to Shreveport, I doubt I'll EVER make it back to Chicago, but if you've never been, it's worth the trip. And I went by Amtrak, which is a very exciting mode of travel, if you've never tried THAT, either!
Thanks!
Betty
