I was wondering if anyone's tried Cymbalta? It's made a huge difference in my life. I was in so much pain the last few years I couldn't even do the Christmas family gathering in 2005 the first one in years. Well my doctor put me on Cymbalta in October 2006 and guess what I did the whole Christmas dinner with very little trouble. I did fall down the stairs and broke a Rib 3 weeks before Christmas. But I still cooked dinner for 37 people. Welcome all comments Patricia

Welcome to my forum.
Someone in my fibro. group tried Cymbalta. She noticed quite a bit of improvement but then developed side effects. I do not know what side effects she experienced. She discontinued it and said that she then suffered with withdrawal symptoms. If you need to go off of it for any reason, I wonder if you can gradually do so?

I personally have not tried Cymbalta. Please give us updates on how you feel it is working.

Hi Donna, I been on Cymbalta I think 6 months now and have had no side effects afar as I can tell. I know I feel so much better my dosage has been upgraded twice. I do understand that medications only last so long with FMS and then your body gets used to them (which the doctors don't understand) But for now this one is working for me and several of my friends. If I need to go off them I'm sure it will be as slowly as I went on them to avoid side effects. I take things One Day At A Time! Take Care Patricia

I am glad Cymbalta is working for you and I hope you have continued success. My friend who tried it was on it less than 6 months when she ran into side effects. I do not personally know anyone else who has tried it. Please keep us updated on your progress with this medication. We are always looking for help with our fibromyalgia.
