The 2nd in a series in Colossians. "The All- Sufficiancy Of Jesus"
5/19/2007 12:49:41 PM
The Title is called " The All- Sufficiancy of Jesus".  1.) read Colossians 1:15-18, underlining key phrases. 2.) Knowing the Colossian Christians may be under the influence of those who have an inadequate view of Christ, what message is Paul wanting them to understand about Jesus Christ? 3.) Given what Paul says here, what understandings of Jesus are totally inadequate? 4.) What is the personal significance of v. 17 for your life? How do you share this with other people who know you? 5.) Read 1-19-23, underlining key phrases. 6.) a) God wants to "reconcile" all of us to himself (vv.19 and 22). What does this mean God really wants from us? b) How does the price he was willing to pay for such reconciliation need to effect us? c) From v.22, what impact does it have on you to know that you vcan stand before God through Christ " without blemish and free from accusation"? d) According to v. 23, what is the key to remaining in such a state? 7.) Read 1:24-27 and continue in your readings to underline key phrases. 8. What impact does the idea of "Christ in you" have on your life?

Re: The 2nd in a series in Colossians. "The All- Sufficiency Of Jesus"

Dear Thomas,

I take the pleasure to tell you how important these verses are to God Loving Christians ,and I make these additional comments , free from any misgivings , to add my experiences with the words and ways of Jesus and how it has affected my life.

This is a simple method I use to find my true nature and to establish a focal point of reference when I am in need to see myself in Christ.  I take a mirror  and sit right in front of it. Then I read through the scriptures to see how true , we men are as the reflection of the Living God. When I move left , I see that my image on the mirror follows the same patten. When I speak , I get a feeling my image is talking back to me. That makes me happy and gives me so much joy . 'God Taking to me'

But  when I am ill ,I sit before the same Mirror. Just that this time, the image on the mirror isn't ill . When I am nervous , I see that the image is still and comfortable.  ' The Scriture says ' Be still and know that I am God '  When I am hungry, I see that this image still looks strong. Suddenly I realized that to be happy and strong and to feel the gifts and inspiration of Christ, I needed to place myself in the mirror and to be like the immortal image of truth. The image we see everyday before we go out of our homes is full of light, full of spirit and power to brighten our day and our lives as Jesus did. This has a great impact on our thoughts and activities.

Jesus said, 'I and my father are one', he expressed no other God. If we also see and take the mirrored image as Jesus, then we can see ourselves every moment, every day and receive every blessing from him. We continue this worship by holding our thoughts steadfast unto Jesus and his teachings. We fill ourselves with the , Sufficiancy of  Jesus, as we grow in spirit through, participation , understanding and devotion.

'As a man speaketh, so he is' As a man thinketh, so he is and finally as a man seeth, so he is. The spirit that inspires us to the joys of Christ ,come everyday as we mirror our faces before we leave our homes.

Try this Mon AMI. because Jesus will be looking at you.
