HI Sharon,
That was a great story and a very good way of showing and telling someone why things are the way they are and that God does exist! A prime example, I am sorry to say, is going on right here in the United States. I am sure that some will not like hearing this, but the truth is the truth. We have to look at all that has gone on here...all the things that people have done to remove God from different places.
Let's start with the separation of State and Church...we can no longer have prayer in school; Teachers can not talk about God to their students as they used to when I was in school; the Pledge of Allegiance is no longer said everyday as before; we are not allowed to have a monument with the 10 Commandments on it in a Federal Courthouse, yet we can place our hand on the Bible in court to testify...that one really puzzles me; and they keep talking about removing the words "In God We Trust" off of money.
Is there any wonder why there is so much "crap" going on here? People should take a look at the difference in the people and kids in the deep South compared to other places. Most people there attend church on a regular basis, most kids there are taught respect, morals and values still, Louisiana still has corporal punishment in schools and the kids are much more behaved there...this just mentions a few things.
Now look at the difference at other places...I will talk about NY and CA right now since I live(d) in both places. Most kids have no respect for their parents or anyone else, they talk worse than some sailors, many parents have no idea where their children are and seem to not care, kids at younger and younger ages are having sex, using/selling drugs, killing people, and the list goes on and on.
I think that this just goes to show how different things are when people have God in their life. So you tell me...does God exist? I certainly believe He does. He is always around me, helping me and blessing me.
To end let me just say this...when an atheist is on their deathbed what are they saying many times...."Oh God!"
Thank you God for being a part of my life, and for loving me even more than I can ever possibly love you! Amen!
God Bless You All,
Love, Marilyn
