Is your Mentor REALLY A Good Mentor?
4/27/2007 11:11:48 AM
We see claims all the time about what is a great offer and we see claims of people being great leaders and/or mentors. With people claiming to be so good at what they do it should be easy to validate their claims. How? Very simple. Go to any major search engine and search their name. The two top engines being Yahoo and Google of course. Start with their actual name, then any pseudo-name they use as well. Then search again the names with the word 'scam' behind it. For example: Kenneth R Sword Jr scam. See what comes up. You can also look at program owners too to see if they have any records of reported scams this way. I'm not a Guru of any kind but I do show up in the searches pretty well. Try it out for second and I'll tell you my point for this. Search terms: Kenneth R Sword Jr , Kenneth Sword , Kenneth R Sword , sword2drum Once you see the numbers and the listings go do a search on your mentor/leader/advisor. Make a comparison and see if they show better or worse. If they are weaker in numbers than me you may wish to consider finding someone with a better track record. If they can't get listed well they can't teach you to get listed well, either. Again, I'm just an average person so numbers better than mine would be someone to consider as a mentor. I hope this helps everyone. Kenneth R Sword Jr

Good Points Ken,

I typed in my name..

Never realized what it does, 157,000 spots

But I am not a "mentor", just a simple marketer who shares his knowledge with those seriously interested in Growing a REAL business.

Some Pay me for my Time, but only at their request.

By the way have you been getting my Mail?

Dear Ken.

Interesting.  Mine is not a common first or last name, but I found over 2,000 listings.  My acutal whole name was only on the first 16 pages in Google.  I am by far no guru or great mentor.  I do try to help my team, but we all struggle at times.

This is a great thought provoker.

You are indeed a good friend and mentor, Kenneth. I have followed the wrong so called "Guru" in the past, and this is how I have learned to tell the difference.

Take care and enjoy each moment,

Teri

PS.. I have been very, very sick, yet am finally on the mend. You will be seeing me around here and there more often.. playing catch-up and having fun doing so! ;-)
