My momma Janet Naab is 76 years old. Her and daddy - Charles - were married in 1954. I'm the oldest then a brother and 2 sisters that are 10 years apart. That's called an oops!

 When I was 5 years old, dad contracted polio from the vaccine. He came home from work one day and was paralized. In short, only his legs are paralized now. Dad was so afraid that mom would leave him but she said simply looked at him and said "WHY?" They are one of a kind. Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimers about a year ago and she worries about him.

 Last week mom had surgery for colon cancer, she's in the last stages and it has spread to her liver - inoperable- and lymph glands. They removed the cancer from her colon - size of softballs. These were causing her extreme pain. Otherwise she is in very good shape.

  The part that really gets me, Why mom was still in the hospital and after surgery, daddy looked at her and told her - you took care of me all these years, now it's my turn to take care of you.

We need Prayer and Laughter

 Instead of sympathy, I would LOVE to have prayers for my momma and daddy. They need each other and we do not know how this will work out. God works in mysterious ways. Pray they are there for each other as long as possible. They will be lost without one another. God's will they go together or live long together, just keep them together. A little Healing wouldn't hurt!

 The other request, in order to boost mom's immune system and keep her mind off cancer and dad's alzheimers. I need jokes to tell her every day. I've heard that laughter - hearty laughter - can boost your immune system for 2 weeks. I want to be able to tell her at least one every day for as long as I can! Please post jokes that are so funny that they almost made you fall off your chair in laughter. Ok, you can post the ones that make you fall off the chair also.These are the ones I'll tell her. I'll let you know which ones I tell her and what her reaction was.

And yes, I have her taking a supplement for the cancer. Only time will tell if it works. She knows there is no guarantee, but she has hope and faith in GOD! Chemo starts in about 30 days!
