JESUS: Man Of Prayer
4/24/2007 11:38:47 AM

Hello Friends, just want to share somemore practicals , including what my Man felt about Prayer. Some friends of mine always encourages me every single day and i am very proud to call them my friends, so thank you Carla cash and Pauline Raina-TODAY, WHATEVER THE WEATHER OR CIRCUMSTANCES, KNOW THAT DARKNESS WILL END, DAWN WILL BREAK, AND THE SUN WILL RISE.  Okay lets begin. "Jesus" Man Of Prayer.  1.) No one will have ameaningful prayer life who does not appreciate the importance of prayer and perhaps nothing helps us see the importance more than the life of Jesus. Read Luke 5:15-16; 6:12-13; 9:18; 11:1; Mark 1:32-36; and Hebrews 5:7-10.  2.) Because of these statements about Jesus, G.S. Thompson has written: " Prayer was the atmostphere in which he lived. It was the air he breathed. " Robert Colman, comenting on the same scriptures, has written: "Prayer was indeed the sweat and tear of His ministry. The battle of the cross was fought and won on His knees." The same author also wrote: "Jesus never got behind in His work because He never got behind in praer." 3.) Write down what the example of Jesus means to you in a relationship to your prayer life.

Hello Friends,

One of the most revealing scriptures I have read concerning Prayer is found in John 15 verses 7-16.

This lesson is not only on Prayer but speak about a relationship with God and one another. What a powerfull lesson and the more I study the more I receive and I tired John 6-63. Now since I know His Word is Spirit and Life I find myself seeking His Word on a more consistant bases.

My God supplies all my need from His riches in Glory.Amen

Your Friend,

Eugene

Hi Everyone,
I am reading the Gospel of Luke at the moment as my daily devotion and in those passages it told me that although Jesus preached every day he went  to the mount of Olives every night to pray. So I am thinking if it was good enough enough for Jesus to pray every night after each full day then it is good enough for me. We look to Our Lord for guidance and what better guidance than the actions of Our Lord. don't you think. The truth is there in the gospels. So instead of saying what other people think look to the Bible and read what Jesus did and said and follow what he tells us to do. To me that is the most simplest and easiest thing to do. Not whar anyone writes or says but what He said and did. Don't you think? all my love Helen
ps. I am basically lazy so I went straight to the Bible and use the good book for directions because it is between me and God what I do and what I say is the most important thing to God. take care everyone. and think of our boys over there trying to do what our leaders tell them to do.
