With some advertising you  should be in dragster with the peddle to the metal heading for the checkered flag, others you should be jumping the corral fence and high tailing out of there like hell bent for leather.

Yep, quality advertising is in your face stuff but must be done with class and intellegence, not insulting the target prospect, which is all too common these days. 

"Personal", that's a big one for me. Humorous and/or emotional would be ideal in my opinion.
