The Bible has many things to say about being happy and rejoicing, or being glad. "Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart."[i] Psalm 32:11 ESV

[i]"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say rejoice."[i] Philippians 4:4

These are but two such passages. The Bible also warns us to be careful where we look for happiness and success. [i]"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death."[i] Proverbs 14:12

Go forward and seek to be happy; just be very wary of the approach you take.
