1.  CLIMATE CARE

Just learned of this organization this morning: Climate Care. 

Sort of a guilt thing, but one of the officers was being interviewed on MSNBC or CNBC or one of those financial stations my wife, the FOREX trader, watches.

Apparently, their concept is that since we are each polluting and can't or won't cut down....or at least right away...they take it to a global level.

At their site, you can calculate your carbon impact, assign a dollar value to it and make a contribution.  They then take those contributions from everybody who participates and uses the funds to invest in projects with real or potential positive environmental impact.

I cannot attest to the validity of this, I just pass it on as a site of interest for those concerned about the environment.

2.  SOLAR ROADWAYS (Get a  Free Backlink)

The concept at Solar Roadways is to build roads and parking lots that generate electricity.  Apparently the founder is an electrical engineer, and he makes a persuasive argument for the project.
