Each week we will honor a woman that has truly made a difference by her
contributions, courage, love, and selflessness. Women honored will be chosen from inside AdlandPro, outside AdlandPro, living in the present, and yes, we will not forget those heroines that paved the way for the freedoms we now enjoy. We will honor women who have shown tremendous courage and fortitude against all odds.
Assisting us in coordinating these awards are four outstanding ladies who are Women of Courage in their own right.

It is not very often that I am humbled and amazed at one person's accomplishments. However, upon gathering the materials for this week's Woman of Courage, my heart was won by this lady.
Aparna Ganguli is the embodiment of what each of us should be striving for. Her life can be summarized in one simple sentence. She lives for others. In studying Aparna's life, I learned many things and because of her example, I have made some personal decisions that have been on the back burner of my life.
Aparna began her life as your everyday happy child. She loved her father more than anything else in the world and she has fond memories of a little pigtailed girl running with arms spread wide open as she yelled "Daddy!"
However, life took a sudden turn on her 21st birthday, when her dad passed away. She became acquainted with Tragedy, that most awful of experiences. Her first lesson in caring for others was about to begin, as she became the primary caregiver for her mother and her little sister. She took on a job in order to properly care for them. She says that this was not an outstanding move in her life, as it had been done before. However, if she doesn't consider that outstanding, what was to follow in her life certainly is.
While taking on the most serious responsibility of being head of household, she continued studying for her Masters in English and she completed all courses necessary for teaching; she studied painting under a Guru from Santiniketan and exhibited her painting at various shows. She also took courses in multimedia and creating web pages.
Aparna married and had a son. While being wife and mother, she went back into the business world and rose to the top. She specialized in search engine optimization and was instrumental in bringing many a small business to the top.
A lady with a heart of gold would in no way stop here, as her number one concern is others, not herself. Aparna is the Zonal Manager for The Leprosy Mission Trust India, which Princess Diana of Wales endorsed while she was alive. Aparna's heart is with the children and adults suffering from the ravages of Leprosy. She works for their health and rehabilitation. This organization cares for the entire wellbeing of its patients, both for the person afflicted with this disease and their families, integrating the healing process into all facets of their lives. Aparna's expertise is in the fundraising aspects of this organization.
People and organizations are needed to join this cause and if you feel a tug at your heart, please email Aparna at zmpsdkol@tlm.org.
I also have a most beautiful powerpoint presentation describing this most awesome facility, but I don't know how to attach or feature it on this forum. If anybody can shed some light on how to do this, please message me and I will be delighted to include this presentation on this tribute.
Did I say Tribute? Yes, Aparna. We honor you for the love in your heart. We honor you for living your life for the good of others, for the good of the world.
The Corner 4 Women and DipetaneSoutheast is proud to join your cause. We are proud to endorse The Leprosy Mission Trust India and we are proud to give our financial support.
God bless you Aparna. This is what life is truly all about.
