Still be careful about who you take Business Advice from.
2/1/2007 7:28:34 AM
It is extremely important that we are always aware about who may seem to be giving us “good business advice.” Your personal assessment of good business advice is still very essential.

Real professional advice from those with a proven record of sustainable success is not easy to receive. It may appear in this age of internet business, that almost everyone is telling us they have the “best” and “only” or 'ultimate" way for fast money, profit and success. Their method or business tools work, they will say, while others do not. But this is often not this case. The experts with a proven record of success are not easy to find, in many cases, with the exception of those large multi-national businesses that dominate the Internet and Search Engines. The smaller successful business or person is there, but to find him/her is not easy. While as we search, we are often being enticed by dishonest persons who really make their money from those among us who are not aware that their services and products are not suitable for our business needs. They are often not concerned about this, but merely to persuade us to pay for the service they are offering. So they and not us, will really benefit. We therefore have to be careful.

The legality of some the offers that are presented to us is also questionable. While those who are trying to sell us products and services may not be too concerned about this, we who are intended to accept must be concerned about this issue. So be careful. Likewise, our personal assessment of the true costs and benefits to us must be done. Will we get the benefits we desire from this particular product or service? Does it cost too much for us to pay, and potentially will not deliver enough desired return, money or profit  for us to be pleased with the product or service? Will we get immediate desired results at the lowest cost, or will we have to wait six months, a year, two years and so on? So the true costs and benefits assessment is too critical and essential to ignored by anyone.

The long-term benefit of the product or service is also a matter general concern. If we will need to acquire the same service/product after just one month to three months, then we need to decide on the necessity of this for the long-term. Do we really have the suitable patience to accept this offer? Many people in internet business are not concerned about waiting too long for results. They desire immediate results. So, if we choose the wrong product or service base on our business and personal desire, we can become disappointed and frustrated.

Therefore, accepting business advice is still very much a part of good business management. But being prudent about who you take the advice from and the kind of advice being offered, are also very essential. Above all, we must ensure that the advice is legal and the costs-benefits of the product or service really suits our immediate and/or long-term needs.

The best of real business success to you!
