THIRTEENTH EDITION - WOMEN OF COURAGE

John Elliott and Luella May Welcome You to the Thirteenth Edition of

Women of Courage

Each week we will honor a woman that has truly made a difference by her
contributions, courage, love, and selflessness. Women honored will be chosen from inside AdlandPro, outside AdlandPro, living in the present, and yes, we will not forget those heroines that paved the way for the freedoms we now enjoy.   We will honor women who have shown tremendous courage and fortitude against all odds.

Assisting us in coordinating these awards are four outstanding ladies who are Women of Courage in their own right.

Presenting:

WE PRESENT TO YOU OUR THIRTEENTH

WOMAN OF COURAGE

Pauline Raina

Carla Cash tells us about Pauline, our Woman of Courage:

When I asked Pauline Raina to send  me her story, I was amazed at what she had gone through.

I found out she was definitely a woman of courage and know that it was a good thing that I nominated her to be featured in  this forum.

Long before she was born , her mother was sent to an orphanage. This affected  Pauline's life because her mother found someone who was a father, mother, and brother, parent to her children, and husband all rolled into one. Pauline expected someone to take care of her as her father had but when she met her husband she was in for a big shock.

Pauline was born to a loving Father who named her after a pastor's  daughter that he loved.  She was born at home and delivered by a  midwife. Her mother was irresponsible, her father was in the Air Force. Pauline was in charge of her siblings and when her mother went to work she had to drop out of school. That was sad for me to find out since she loved all subjects. Later on she and her mother did develop a strong sisterly relationship, but her mother's life ended early due to Colon Cancer.

She had to go to work at a young age taking jobs everywhere, at all scales of pay.   While at work at a carpet showroom,  she met her husband to be and although it wasn't love at first sight, she met up with him later and fell in love.

She found out that she married an abusive alcoholic and her dreams of a happy home did not come to pass. She tried to make her marriage work but the harder she tried, the worse it got. Unfortunately, this is the way abuse always develops.  Pauline dedicated her son Ryan  to God and now she can see that God has always had a big part in his life..she attributes all her victories to God's faithfulness.

At one point Pauline thought the failures were her fault and contemplated taking her own life, but thankfully a neighbor intervened. Pauline said that was her wake up call and after two years she was divorced.  She said how she  is not sure how she managed her children, home and store all that time but gives the credit to her strong faith. Now she can tell women “if I can do it you can do it”.. and believes someday she will get to write her story... meanwhile God is telling her to BE STILL AND KNOW HE IS GOD.  Who knows, her time to write might be sooner than she thinks. Pauline appreciated being featured in the forum and sends her love and thanks to everyone, so I hope in return you all will send your love to her.

God bless you Pauline and may  you always find happiness and peace! We all love you!

Thank you for featuring my friend Pauline. This lady has come across cyberspace with her positive energy and her strong faith. Her intelligence is apparent, but she does not flaunt it. She makes her points blanketed with loving and caring to soothe the most angry heart.

Her courage in sticking her head into a growling' lions cage to tame a wild beast when it is neccessary is amazing.

She reaches out to help when her friends are hurting and holds their hand until it's all better-a true MOM.

We can all learn humanity from this lady.
I love you Pauline.
