Let me introduce the most awesome group of team mates anyone could ever have! Not only are they my very good friends, but I also have the pleasure of working with them to bring this forum to all of you, each and every week;

and myself;

Here are the qualifications that will be used in the selection of each honoree. People that are selected will be recognized based on:

1. Acts of kindness that they show to their fellow man.

2. Must be willing to help others, and treat people in a kindly manner.

3. Have a good-hearted nature, and shows it through all that they do.

4. Must be a positive role model, and set a good example

5. Must be professional, avoids negativity, and promotes success through faith and hard work

So, if you know of anyone here at AdlandPro that are not necessarily "high profile" people per say, and that don't get the recognition that they deserve, let us know. We will be helping to get people recognized that should be *A SHINING STAR*. All nominations must be in by Saturday and please tell us why you believe the person deserves to be recognized.

The meaning of the name JOYCE;

Here is JOYCE'S bio;

I have come to recognize that who I am, has become now and forever enter-twined with the city of my birth.

When I left home in 1984 to find myself, I never expected to return-let alone become known around the globe as-Joyce, from New Orleans.

You can't understand how weird it is to have major, historic, world changing events unfolding just up the street and around the corner while you are sitting in the center of it , just chillin' at home-doing your own, personal, normal, every day things, like reading email, making dinner, hanging the wash out on the porch to get sun dried.

As a child, I always loved reading mythology, as an only child, I was free to participate with the goddesses and fairy princesses and such to my hearts content and was partial to the stories of royal folk who ran away to escape their royal responsibilities-like marrying an ugly prince and ruling some boring kingdom or worse.

So they run off and have harrowing adventures, passionate romances with soldier of fortune types or Italians and wind up going back home in the end.

Lessons learned, the moral of the story there for us all to see.

 I began my journey of adventure and escape in 1984 by moving to Los Angeles-Hollywood to be specific. Talk about "Alice in Wonderland"!

My husband was always worried because the tales I would spin as I told him about my day seemed to be too much for him to deal with, so he just started to tune me out. So, once again I was free to indulge my fantasies. My moral compass is firmly in place so I never worried about being hurt or taken advantage of because my angels are always with me.

My mother had built a day care center for newborns to school aged children and after school care for those older siblings who needed it. She had started this business with a couple of thick quilts on the floor in our rented basement apartment, a great big heart and a lot of faith and courage. All of this was in response to the news that she was going to be a grandma.

The fact that I was in the middle of my junior year of college, which had been the sole motivating factor for everything, she had done since the day I was born; my poor choice of timing did not cause her to miss a beat. Her goal was to get me graduated and graduated I would be.

He was born in March and I was in summer school in June.

By the time my son arrived only about three or four months after I told her I was pregnant-you see I was a cheerleader in college and I had to get my games done before I dropped that bombshell-anyway, she had gotten me properly hitched, started a business that would allow my son to not have to go out for day care, hired a girl to help out and welcomed me home to a fully outfitted layette when I came home from the hospital, having given birth the day before my 21^st birthday.

She even had her friend pick us up in a limo so that the crown princess first ride would be by limosine

By the time my daughter came along, five years later  she had bought her first house and converted the raggedy old shed out back into a first class day care center. The shed thing got done after I had left for work one morning. When I came home around 4:30 it was there.

During this time that my mom was growing and building our legacy; the princess (me) was off being grown. My husband was off at graduate school in Indiana and then in officers candidate school in Annapolis and whatever!

I was moving from house to house, paying the rent, setting up house and then moving back home to start the whole process over again.

I must have had 3 different apartments and one I never spent a night in, it had roaches! EWE! (I told you I was a princess).

My only responsibility was to keep the children and myself looking cute. I worked, but not until my kids turned two, they were like dolls, so we played, they learned things and when they went off to school, I pretty much went with them.

I drove them and picked them up, I was room mom, I did substitute teaching in their school.
