The importance of Reviewing your Business Culture for success.
1/14/2007 8:44:28 AM
A good and acceptable business culture is important for success.

We are in a New Year and many business individuals and corporations will most likely be evaluating or reviewing their business culture for success or greater success in 2007. A business culture can be the way an individual or business defines and captures what is important to ensure success. It can also be the social and ethical dimensions of how the business will operate among the owner, employees and clients.

It is very important for us to review or implement a business culture (without the fear of failure). Why? We will inform others of the kind of people we are, the basis on which the business is expected to grow and succeed, the market and people preferred to deal with, and explain the behavior and relationships that are acceptable from the owner, employees and customers. Within this respect, the attitude or behavior of the business owner is critically important to all others. The cultivation of a correct or acceptable business culture is therefore a must!

Staff empowerment; delegation and openness to input, ideas or opinions; the pro-active approach to information; the ethics of fairness and honesty versus financial profits at any costs; the welfare and life of the staff as they relate to the daily success of the business; long-term mutual relationships versus temporary profit-making mentality; and others, are all essential elements to consider when reviewing a business culture for success.

While a very good and solid business model of how “to make money” is expected in business, the business culture is also important for long-term growth, sustainability and success. It is not hard to get connected to a business expert to develop a model of success for your plans. But it takes courage and respect for your-self as the owner, and for the staff and customers, to also develop and honestly and consistently implement an acceptable culture suitable to you, the employees and clients. This is to be done without the fear of failure, and without the simple perspective of “just making money” online or off-line.

So let us make good business culture prevail for our customers and for our own business success!
