I am always looking for the clear answer to anything. This has been sitting on my mind for over a week now and you tell me if I am wrong or correct to what I see. Think of what would hold up in court.
(btw ... if you recognize this, great. I am leaving the biz name and links out and please do not refer to what site it is. Just do the math.)
This is from the website:
Hi, hope you are enjoying our site. We are giving our members the chance to have a piece of the company. For a one-time fee of $50 we will give you .01% to the first 1000 members that join. If myspace did this for 1000 people they would have made $58,000. Youtube, $165,000 for their first 1000 each. It's definitely worth the investment, especially when you also get 1 month's free advertising on our site.
Now what I see:
Ok. I am looking at the math and it just doesn't add up.
One one-hundredth of a percent (0.01%) of any sale (if it happens) to 1000 people. Using the numbers they give the 0.01% for MySpace is $58,000.00. this goes to 1000 people. If this is correct that means 1000 people will share the $58,000.00 giving each member $58.00. $8.00 profit on a fifty dollar investment. Hmmmmmmm.
Ok let's use the YouTube figures.
Again, 0.01% to 1000 people. So 1000 people share the $165,000.00 and comes to $165.00 for each person. Better but for $50.00 investment how long will it be to earn that $165.00.
It seems all the math steps were not written out. Why? So you would see LARGE DOLLAR SIGNS. That's why.
Always look at the whole picture and figure it out before you assume otherwise.
