MIKE BUMBALOUGH's DAILY INSPIRATIONS and BLESSINGS.
12/15/2006 5:45:48 PM

The readings here are from his post to The Woods Forum for Marketers. I will be posting a few here for all every now and then.

“God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, ‘Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.’” Luke 1-26-28

Our challenge is to be God's angels NOW! Do you know someone that needs a little encouragement? Do you know anyone less fortunate than you? Of course you do, we all do. Involvement is the key here. We can sit around feeling empathy or we can actually make a visit, phone call or simply send an encouraging email. God said if we only think it in our hearts we've not completed the task. We must act upon our feelings.

Smiles of encouragement are contagious. Go MAKE a GREAT DAY!!!
Blessings to all,
Mike Bumbalough/Minister

Re: BLESSINGS FROM MIKE BUMBALOUGH~

Another posting from Mike. Beautiful!!

There Was a Man
Almost two thousand years ago there was a Man born contrary to the laws of life. This Man lived in poverty and was reared in obscurity. He did not travel extensively. Only once did He cross the boundary of the country in which he lived; that was during His exile in childhood.
He was neither wealthy nor influential. His relatives were barely noticed, and had neither training nor education. As a baby He startled a king; in childhood He puzzled the doctors; in manhood He ruled the course of nature, walked upon billows as if they were smoothly paved roads, and hushed the sea to sleep. He healed the multitudes without medicine and made no charge for His service. He never wrote a book, yet all the libraries of the country could not hold the books that have been written about Him.
He was not a songwriter, and yet He has furnished the theme for more songs than all the songwriters combined. He never founded a college, but all the schools put together cannot boast of having as many students. He never practiced medicine, and yet He has healed more broken hearts than all the doctors far and near. He never commanded a military army, nor drafted a soldier, nor fired a gun, and yet no leader ever had more volunteers who have, under His orders, made more rebels lay down their arms and surrender without a shot being fired.
The names of the past proud statesmen of Greece and Rome have come and gone;
but the name of this Man abounds more and more. Though time has spread almost two thousand years between the people of this generation and the scene of His crucifixion... HE STILL LIVES!

Herod could not KILL Him, Satan could not SEDUCE Him, death could not DESTROY Him, and the grave could not HOLD Him! He stands forth upon the highest pinnacle of heavenly glory, proclaimed of God, acknowledged by angels, adored by saints, feared by demons, as the living, personal Christ, our Lord and Savior.
"Truly this Man (JESUS) was and IS – the Son of God!"
{Adapted from David A. Sargent, Mobile, AL 12/16/04}

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"
(John 3:16).

May your life be blessed abundantly today,
Mike

God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect
12/22/2006 11:50:43 AM

 "God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect."

The story is told of a family that lived near a field, with two horses in it. From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing. If nearby and listening, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to her halter is a small bell. It lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see how she is always checking on him, and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk to where she, trusts that she will not lead him astray. When she returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally and looks back, making sure her friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need. Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see. Good friends are like this. You don't always see them, but you know they are always there. Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.

In my short tenure with my internet “family” I have heard the bell of some very special people that were guiding me in a safe and secure way. This should become contagious and spread to as many as we can possibly share.

"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle".

May Your Life Be Blessed Today as You Bless Another.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, BE SAFE AND MERRY CHRISTMAS,

Mike Bumbalough
