Hi Gang,
I just set up a new Packet8 Voip phone system for myself and two of my roomies, and they love it. I didn't have to convince them very much after they got the runaround from our local telephone provider AT&?. After several calls and hanging around on the phone waiting for service, then being told it would cost them $50 per hour for a tech to come out and hook up a line to the house from the pole in the back yard. I simply said, "You've got a computer why not blow that off and try the Packet8" Well they did!!!
His total out of pocket costs was $8.33 including porting over his existing phone line. The system arrive 2 days later, it took him(a very non-technical guy) 10 mins. took hook it up and activate it. His mother lives in India, his first test was to call her to see how it sounded and if it was truly viable.
The answer to the question was a resounding YES!
The other roomie is a young guy with no credit, but he had an ATM card.
He didn't have to give anymore info than where to deliver and the number from his card. In other words, he didn't have to give his first unborn child to qualify, he was told he couldn't get phone service, unless he put up a security deposit.
His costs was also only $8.33.
Suffice it to say that I have two happy roomies who are now my clients.
If anyone would like to challenge this, please leave a phone number.
I would be glad to have them or I call you to here the sound quality. Since most of you live in the USA, that will be a free call for us with our $19.99 plans.
So if you been having problems with your local phone service, it would behoove you to signup for the Packet8 and take control of Your phone services.
Yours truly and sincerely
