Hello Everyone, You know I have close To 3,000 Names on my friends list here at Adlandpro and I can not understand how each person can not afford to donate $1.00 to these 3 children who are desperatly trying to get to Europe because they were chosen to represent there states. My Daughter is representing Washington State after we have only lived here 1 year.Does that not tell you any thing about her Character??? Also the other kids jeremy and the little girl from new york,they were chosen over everyone to be an ambassador of there state. I am so embarrassed by everyone that you have not opened your heart to these children to give one lousy dollar to make it possible. I thought we are family and friends suppose to help one another but I guess I was wrong, your just names on a sheet of space. Thomas Browne Hello my friends, As Most of you know my Daughter Molly was chosen and excepted to the people to people.com Program to be Student Ambassador for Washington State.Also Trina Son Jeremy from Colorado was excepted for his State and also another girl from New York also got chosen, So I am trying to raise the money to pay for these children. Some of us have had to pay from our own pockets so far as each child has to have certain amounts in by deadlines. But I would like to raise enough money to pay for the children to go and reemburse the parents who have had to pay from there resourses. These children have worked very hard to shine and be recognized beyond all other children to be chosen for this great honour. I am very proud of all 3 of these children who have risen above all adversities to impact so many lives.They have touched the lives of others. I am very proud of my daughter Molly. She is the most precious thing in my life.She will go to Greece.Italy and France and come back a changed person.She will change the lives of others. Wouldn't hold my breath on the rest of the community though. How much did Kim F. make when she was going to lose her home? How much did Craftie get when she was on the verge of eviction? How much did Tara and I get when we needed help making rent last summer?

Everybody talks a big game around here about helping each other out. But 99% of the people on Adland are desperate for money, and it appears they've gotten into internet marketing as a last-ditch act of desperation.

This spring I was disappointed with the turnout in Kim's situation, and I ran an experiment to see if maybe putting up an adsense ad on a personal website would do it. The results were absolutely pathetic, even with you posting to your friends list. People just don't care that much.

We've been working on developing some kind of action plan that would get people involved...something where they could commit, say, $1.00 a month, that could be used for others who demonstrate serious financial need, but there doesn't seem to be a practical say to do that, especially here where nobody's interested and/or able to help out.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see if anyone rises to the occasion. But again, don't count on it.

Kathy, I have a tendency to agree with Steve. I tried to help Kim F. also. I even placed a page on my website for her.  I'll see what I can do. Right now I'm looking at taking on another job just to pay the bills, cause, if you look at my last offer, I got a zero response from it.
