   The only difference I can see between online friends and "real life friends" is whether or not you have the opportunity to have face to face interaction. In some ways, I believe we know more about our online friends than the social friends. I have some very special friends here at adland that I value as much or more than the social friends.

Hi Kathy, Thanks for the invitation. As far as: "Is there a difference in your online friends compared to your real life friends???" Yes and No. Real life friends know what you look like at different times and not what ever (the best?) picture someone may post or NO picture like me. For many, real life friends know more how you act as I doubt some, to many, of those on the net do not act the same way in person as they do sitting at a computer and taking the time to carefully think what they are saying. (Me, I act the same no matter where I am or whom I am talking to.) "Is there such a thing people online calling each other friends." ABSOLUTLY. I have made some really excellent friends on-line. Kathy, methinks you are a bit confused on the following and have it backward: "Every aquantance is a friend, but not every friend is an aquantance." To me, it is: While every friend is an aquantance, NOT every aquantance is a friend. And some aquantances are FAR from being friends! Please, Take Care! Neil
