The Mad Vlad

Hello Everyone, A good week to you! Does anyone here work with The Mad Vlad's Safelist? http://www.madvlad.com It's supposed to be the #1 safelist on the web, but lately, my experiences haven't been so great. When I first joined, he gave free members 1 credit mailing a day, HTML or plain text to a limited number of list members. Suddenly (with no announcement of policy change), free members must BUY solo ads to send a credit link-HTML ad, and the last plain text ad that I sent bore no credit link. Has anyone else had such experiences with The Vlad? Seems like he's going through a policy/ownership change. Please post if you have some enlightenment. Thanks, Paula

Hi Paula,

I am a member at the Mad Vlad, I am a free member as well. I posted yesterday with no problem for both credit based and the standard mailer.  I don't see how they are #1 I don't see anything special about what they have to offer. thanks

Michelle

Hi Michelle, Thanks for your answer. Did you notice if your ads had credit links or not? Anyway, I'll try again. Mercury's in or about to go into retrograde. No wonder communications are going a bit haywire. ~Paula

Not to whip a dead horse, but I got a reply from The Mad Vlad himself yesterday. In a nutshell, free members still click to earn credits, 1 credit=1 member, and can mail to the entire list once a day. However, the new catch--free members ads DO NOT bear credit links. So what incentive do members have to view the ads of free members? Not much, in my opinion. Does anyone else see it this way? ~Paula
