Hi Nosa,

Here are a couple of good resources online you can try :

bignosebird.com
thenewbieclub.com (Joe Robson's website)
Websmarts ezine (an html tip every week)
Bob Osgoodby--he has a couple of good ezines.

Joe Robson also puts out a free ezine The Newbie Club and has also
started a membership club (I'm not a member of it, but I do subscribe to his ezine)

You might also try one of the free website areas to learn how to make a page--most of them have tools that make it very easy to get started. The only drawback is you don't own the domain, and they usually put some form of advertisement on your page--but it's fine if you just want a place where you can experiment with and learn HTML. You may have a free webpage as part of your internet service--or do a search and you will get a pretty good list of available free pages.

HTML is a VERY broad subject, as you'll find out once you start playing around with it! One thing that might help you is to look at how other people are making their pages (unless they hide their code). You can look at the underlying source of any webpage by clicking on View--Page Source from your web browser tool bar.

I have an old book on html by Mark Brown, John Jung, and Tom Savola from the QUE publishing company. It's very out of date now, but a very thorough, easy-to-understand reference book. They may have an updated edition by now.
"Using HTML 2nd edition" is the one I have--it's good enough to learn the basics. So maybe check if QUE has any books that might help you.

Are you a member of an affiliate program? A lot of them will have templates you can use to get started--check out your Resources area, or ask your sponsor. The affiliate program I'm in has templates and tools to help members build their own sites, so yours might too.

I hope this helps you out a little bit!

John
