I need a little help!

To Whomever,

How are you all hyperlinking your little sig captions?  The sig box don't have the little link button like it does on the messages here,  Could someone walk me throught how they are doing that?

Thanks!

Do you mean this?......

There are a number of ways to open a page from a link. You can have it open in the same browser as you are using, or you can get it to open in a new browser. You can open a link from a page which has 'frames' and have the link open in the same browser, but without any frames.

To have it open in the same page where it is, just use the standard link:

"<a href="http://www.yahoo.com">Click here for Yahoo!!</a>"

To open the page in a new window, you need to add a variable to the "a" tag stating that the 'target' for the link is a new page:

"<a href="http://www.yahoo.com" target="_blank">Click here for Yahoo!!</a>"

If your page uses frames, and you want your link to open up in the full browser window instead of in one frame of it, you need to type in:

"<a href="http://www.yahoo.com" target="_top">Click here for Yahoo!!</a>"

These are the main ones you need to know, there are more "targets" you can use, such as opening a link within certain frames and stuff like that...but I really don't want to cram your head with a bunch of stuff you'll only get confused on anyway!

There's more at this website http://www.htmlbasix.com/lesson10.shtml
They have some cool link generators there too.

Hope that helps and that this is what you meant and needed.

Thanks for your reply, all good info I wasn't aware of, but what I wanted to know is here in the message screen I can hyperlink Click Here with the little world and change icon above, but how do I do that in the sig window that don't have this little gem.

Thanks,

Hi Darwin,

If you are talking about including a hyperlink in your automatic signature file, you can use the same html code shared above in your signature that you can revise at your Account Setup - Personal.

Hope that helps!

Many blessings.
