to keep you "in the know" of the most serious aspects of business ownership which you may not yet be aware of.
This info should NOT be kept secret.
I'm not sure what you currently have in place regarding very strict security within your business, Kathy, to protect the
non-public information of clients, customers, employees, etc., but as you have seen (if you visited this site & this one and indeed read the info) our federal government is NOT playing games.
Identity theft is so out of control and costing the citizens dearly with respects to money, time, hardship & stress leading to suicides, that the Federal Trade Commission here is cracking down HARD on
business owners who seem to ignorantly think ID theft
is no big deal and that it only happens to someone else, applies only to credit, and are therefore lax in their security. I'm not saying this applies to you. I know you're intelligent, but everyone is not so wise, and seem to have no interest in being so.
If you have any American friends in business, I would
suggest you warn them or they will soon be, not only out of business, but fined & in jail for 10 years for non-compliance & ignoring federal laws.
This applies to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US AT ADLAND, as well.
