Greetings To Everyone At AdlandPro From John Sanchez and LaNell!

It’s time again for my favorite project of the week and that is the Feature of The Week! It is my favorite project because you folks and the POTW’s of the week make it a very special event. We are all so fortunate to be a part of this community that is made up of so many friendly and talented people. Thank you so much for your support and for making this event so special. Love and Blessings to you all! John R. Sanchez

The reason the Feature of the Week forum was created was to honor people who have a positive influence on this community. To qualify the person has to be an active member and one who contributes to the positive atmosphere here AdlandPro. Here are the criteria for nominating a member for the Feature of the Week (also referred to as the Person of the Week, POTW). This criterion can be seen at the site below:

Yes, she’s one of our Angels who we love and admire. Thank you Rose for being so caring and helpful to us here at Adland. Congratulations on winning the Person of the Week award!

Here’s Rose’s Bio:
My name is Rose Enderud. I was born in Oregon in 1950.
We moved to Los Angeles when I was 5. Then moved
around Northern California and Nevada here and there
until 1960.

We settled in a town of less than 100, Washington, Ca.
on the Yuba river for 10 years. In Washington I had
the unique experience of attending four years in a one
room school with grades 1-8 in the same classroom. The
older students helped teach the younger students. So I
learned early to share my knowledge and abilities.

I was married early, 15. I had my son at 16, my
daughter at 19. I raised my children with the help of
my mother, not exactly a one parent household but no
father around.

We moved from Washington to nearby Grass Valley. I
went to work for an electonics firm at 22. I stayed
there until my children were on thier own. Then I just
up and quit at 40. I was not sure myself why, mid-life
crisis I guess.

The following spring I broke an ankle and was off my
feet for 6 months. When I was able to work again, I
took a live in job caring for a disabled women. I have
been working with the elderly or disabled ever since.
Financially it is not as rewarding, but I would not
change it.

At 40 I became a grandmother. I now have 2
grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 1 great
grandchild.

I started painting at 48. Showing my art was what
brought me to the internet. I visited someone locally
to get help with a website. I was so green, I could
not answer the questions he asked me. So I went and
bought a "For Dummys" book. By the time I finished
reading I could design a webpage myself, with the help
of Netscape.

I got my pages designed and up. I started finding ways
to get traffic. That is when I got sidetracked. I
could not afford to buy advertising so earned it with
traffic exchanges. Naturally I saw ads for every kind
of program under the sun, and got sidetracked by a
few.

Five years ago I caught a virus called Gillians
Barrette. Within 48 hours I was hospitalized with
total paralysis. Lucky, it is something you can
recover from.

During my two month hospital stay I experienced daily
miracles. The therapist would help me move something,
and arm or leg. It was like my muscles just needed to
be shown in order to remember what to do. Then I would
stay up all night practicing. I had worked at night so
my days and nights were turned around. After a year I
was able to go back to work.

When I got out of the hospital. The things I had built
up on the net had mostly disappeared. I have bounced
around with different things. Now, I have come full
circle. I want to pursue the art and programs that
will help others succeed.

Currently I live a little farther down the mountain in
Auburn, Ca. I take care of a woman who is a
quadraplagic due to an accident.

I want to thank Ana Maria Padurean, Jenny SJ, and Dr.
Venerina Conti for thier support and encouragement
when I started my art forum. Jenny for her questions
and Ana Maria for helping me to get the answers.
Venerina gave me encouragement.

Jenny is giving continued support helping me to work
on a tri-weekly exhabition. The exhabition will focus
on one adland artist at a time.
We have a wealth of talent here. We now have the tools
available to help our artist exhibit thier skills.

The artshow is here:
http://community.adlandpro.com/forums/17721/ShowForum.aspx

There is a how to thread for Artists who need help
posting thier work.

Venerina Conti has asked if she could start a thread
for other crafts. She makes jewelry. That will be
coming.

By the way Folks, Rose will be opening up a previously underused area of Adland with her forthcoming forum "Arts Exhibitions At Adland" which will be a regular exhibit of work of Artists and Carftsmen at AdlandPro.

Please take the time to invite Rose to join your friends list and please congratulate her on winning the POTW award.

Rose, thank you for being so sweet and supportive. Enjoy your week of honor and praise!

Love and blessings to all of you from,

Rose,

I just want to say "WOW!"  That's a lot to go through!  I'm glad you put your artwork in a forum and helped so many other artists get recognition.  Helping the disabled and also helping other people here that you don't even know, that will bring you greater rewards than money.  Money is good to have, of course, but there are different kinds of fortunes that come to us in life.  I think you already have found some a lot of lifetime fortunes in your talents, friendships, and caring for people.
