My name is Joanne, better known to my friends as “Josey”. I was born and raised in Yonkers New York. I am married to Michael and have three grown daughters and seven grandkids. I worked in the Optical field for 15 years as a licensed Optician, 13 of which were in one well known company. At the time I was a single Mom and worked many long hours while going to school part time to keep up my credits. At times my girls struggled especially through their teens when I wasn’t available through those 10 hour days. I needed that weekly pay check and most times that wasn’t even enough. I made a decent salary over time and was proud of myself for what I accomplish and I don’t regret it at all but one day it all came crashing down on me. Overworked for years it took a toll on my health which resulted in my poor performance just that one day and I was “FIRED”. Yup, “BOOTED” “CANNED” out the door. So I picked my Butt up and 2 weeks later landed a job in another Optical but after 2 years and hospitalized 3 times for Pneumonia , Diabetes and Depression I was , you guessed it “FIRED” again.
No regret’s and I only look back on the good times, the relationships and lasting friendships I made and know that “I will never have another JOB again in my life”. I have been retired now since 2002 and now own my own Homebased Business’s. Working hard is an option. Sometimes I do, sometimes not. My girls grew up to be fine young ladies with families of there own and they take part in helping me grow my Business’s.
I am very fortunate today to have found companies with a phenomenal reputation, compensation plan and healthy pure natural products that I am passionate about, Gourmet Candles and Skin Care/Wellness Products.
It is also my fortune to network and partner with people who share my passions.
