Psalm 1 BOOK I : Psalms 1-6 1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Amen Kathy Amen, sure am glad that your reading the books of David very cool, one of my all time book is and foremost other than Isaiah is aslo in Psalms, Psalms 119. one of these days i would like to write down speaking as a Christian, how to get know Jesus. I have somewhere in a blog or somewhere the word of Christ and what he expects from us. I am here to tell you Kathy you have the right to your opinions, its called freedom of speech! and thank God for giving our forefathers of America that idea. but i read the truth of what Jesus says in black and white in the New Testiment as well as the Old. Encouragements are the best way to get one to start moving in iether the right way? or the wrong way? but the Holy Bible always brings out the truth. And if you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free! John 8:31 Jesus talking to his fellow country jews the descendance of Abraham. i really like what you do Kathy and i am here for you at anytime, but like now this is the only free time i have? so please excuse me for being so busy lately. Enjoy your day Kathy and thanks again! Your prayer warrior Tom.

Hi Kathy! I am so glad you started a Forum on "Psalms"! I love reading them.....when I need encouragement or just whenever. They really can minister to the spirit! Especially when you read them out loud! My favorite is Psalm 119 also. But the....Psalm 23 is wonderful as well. I will be very interested to read the post of other members about the wonderful book that the Lord gave us!

Before I became a Christian, I wondered why some New Testaments had Psalms at the back.  After becoming a Christian, I was slow in "discovering" Psalms.  When I did, I found a gold mine.
