Clutter
A few years ago the Lord gave me a vision of a house with papers and
stuff all over the place! The Lord showed me that because there was so
much stuff on the kitchen counter that food could not even be prepared
there .. and the food could not even be eaten properly at the
kitchen table because of all the clutter. Also, the Lord showed me that
because the couch was so cluttered up with papers, books and bags that
a person could not even sit, relax and fellowship.
In my vision, I then saw that the more I attempted to clean it up .. that I
only managed to re-arrange the stuff in a different order but not
removing it. Because I was trying to do it all at once.
I heard the Lord say that there are many of His children who have
clutter {being too busy too can be clutter} in their lives. And this clutter
is wearing them down, causing them to become frustrated .. and
taking their eyes and focus off the Lord.
The Lord says, even though it is not spring .. a time of spring cleaning
{so to speak} is upon us!
We are not to look at the clutter collectively, but at one item at a time -
picking it up and putting it in it's proper place - discarding it if
necessary. For it is only as we get rid of all the clutter in our lives will
we see that the table needs washed - the counter to needs wiped - the
carpets need vacuumed. The clutter is covering up that which needs
to be cleaned up in our lives.
The Lord says it is not only a time to remove the clutter, and be
cleansed of all filthiness - But it is also a time of preparation for the
winter months that are coming upon us. A time when a chilling wind
will attempt to chill even the warmest hearts!
The Lord is saying that he desires us to remove the clutter in our lives,
that we can sit at the table with Him .. and be filled ... that we can sit on
the couch with Him, relaxing and fellowshipping with Him. What I see
is the Lord desiring us to sit on the couch with Him and watching a fire
burn in a fireplace. I can almost feel the warmth from the fire as I type
this. That we will be strong when the chilling winds of winter blow we
will not end up with cold hearts!
