Let me introduce the most awesome group of team mates anyone could ever have! Not only are they my very good friends, but I also have the pleasure of working with them to bring this forum to all of you, each and every week;

and myself;

Here are the qualifications that will be used in the selection of each honoree. People that are selected will be recognized based on:

1. Acts of kindness that they show to their fellow man.

2. Must be willing to help others, and treat people in a kindly manner.

3. Have a good-hearted nature, and shows it through all that they do.

4. Must be a positive role model, and set a good example

5. Must be professional, avoids negativity, and promotes success through faith and hard work

So, if you know of anyone here at AdlandPro that are not necessarily "high profile" people per say, and that don't get the recognition that they deserve, let us know. The meaning of the name JENNY;

The name Gwenhwyfar, Geneva, Guenevere, Jenny
 
The name Guenevere or Guinevere is the Old French form of the Welsh name Gwenhwyfar, which is composed of the elements gwen meaning "fair, white" and hwyfar meaning "smooth".
The meaning of Geneviéve is uncertain, though it possibly means "tribe woman" in Gaulish. Alternatively, it could be a form of Guinevere.
1) In Arthurian legend she is the beautiful wife of King Arthur. Her betrayal of her husband with Mordred prompted the battle of Camlann, which led to the deaths of both Mordred and Arthur. Later versions of the legends tell of her adulterous affair with Sir Lancelot.

Hello Marilyn and Team,

I am honoured that you have chosen me to appear on Parade here! I’ve been an AdlandPro a little over 6 months now and I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy being part of this Community. Like so many of us, I joined to promotea business, in my case my angel workshop, but I’ve met so many new and good friends, all over the world, that it has been a much better decision than that!

As you know, I am English, born in London, England, before it got to be called the UK, when people used to use pens and paper to write letters and the telephone to make phone calls!  I studied law and worked in the famous City of London for 10 years and then joined a small firm of management consultants where I was able to get paid for what I enjoy doing best - problem solving.

Since 1986 I have been living in southern Spain, on the coast of Granada in my little house on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. I have two teenage boys, who I always say are the love and the bane of my life. 

My mother was (and at 84 still is) an excellent amateur artist and I must have inherited some of her gift – I have always loved decorative painting and restoration, and have always been fascinated by angels and nativities.

The idea to start an angel and nativity workshop came when I was asked to do an angel stall for a Crafts Fair in 1999 in aid of the Cancer Association (who I collaborate with,). It was a great success with the public and I decided to take some of my own advice – and turned my hobby into a business and founded Alas y Cia, Granada (Wings & Company in English) - Angels from Spain.!!

I started out with craft markets and flea markets, and gradually built up a reputation for hand painted angels and cherubs. Then some of my market customers started to order for their shops. So a friend to joined me, as there was too much work for just one person! Then, in 2004, a friend of mine gave me a wonderful gift – my first Web Site! Alas y Cia was well and truly established. People even started to call me the Angel Lady!

Over the past 7 years Alas y Cia have become angel specialists, and we keep adding new angels and cherubs to our collection. Our catalogue now has over 200 different pieces! - Angel wall decorations, angel figurines, angel lamps, angel shelves, angels candle holders, and lots more angels of all shapes and sizes. That is why our slogan says “Do we Have an Angel for You?”

Each year we add a couple of new nativity sets and other figurines to our Nativity Collection. Nativities are a tradition here in Spain at Christmas, where the Christmas Tree is a new comer. Most homes have a miniature stable and crib and shops decorate their window with them at Christmas.  It is makes me very proud to walk past a shop and see people looking at one of nativities in the shop window. (Some of our nativities come with an extra baby Jesus – the poor little chap is always the first to get broken!)

 We have been supplying angels and nativities to private customers and shops here in Spain and in Europe, mainly Germany and France, for several years.

This year, we decided that we would like to be able to open up our business and make our angels, cherubs and nativities available to people in the United States and Canada.. Our American customers here really like them and have been asking us to do this for some time. So we have a new Website with a semi online shop and a great deal for bulk shipping – so we are now starting to ship angels to people and shops in North America

As part of the great marketing campaign for the new Web site I found a site that offered a free ad, called AdlandPro Community……and I’ve been here ever since..

This winter is going to be an exciting time.  There are some exciting forum projects being “hatched”, I would like to let you know of one very special one that Rose Enderud is going to set up, as a follow on from her Artwork forum –

We are going to have regular Arts Exhibitions here at Adland in the near future!  There are a remarkable number of talented professional and amateur artists, artisans, crafters, photographers, and other creative people hidden away at Adland –and this will be your chance to meet them and learn about and enjoy their work.  AdlandPro has an average of 15,000 – 25,000 internet visitors a day - on this new forum we are going to try and ensure their visit is a memorable one. Keep your eyes open for more news on the AdlandPro Arts Exhibitions!

They say that angels are lucky and they certainly have been for me!
