Weird Fact of the Day: Levan, which is located in Utah, got its name from "navel" which is levan spelt backwards. It was named this because it is in the center of Utah. Weird Fact of the Day: The highest bridge in the world is located in the Himalyan mountains. It was built by the Indian Army, in 1982, and is about 5,600 metres above sea level. Weird Fact of the Day: Construction workers hard hats were first invented and used in the building of the Hoover Dam in 1933. Weird Fact of the Day: Diamonds were first discovered in the riverbeds of the Golconda region of India over 4,000 years ago.

Hmmm....I wonder how many names of  towns have extremely simple explantions.  There's a town in Michigan called Novi that was just a train-stop a very long time ago, in Roman Numerals it was listed as stop No. VI on the train schedule.  Eventually more people got off an on at stop No. VI than any other stop for that train, so people formed a town there and called it Novi.
