What are you grateful for today - and My 3 Things
8/21/2006 11:56:35 PM

Hello dear friends,

My husband and I like to share an email each day that we call "My 3 things" - and the 3 things are what we appreciate about each other from the day before.  It feels really good to hear what my husband appreciates about me.

Today I appreciate:

The relaxing weekend tinkering around the house with my husband.
Playing cards with our friends Saturday night.
Shouting out and singing affirmations while I cut grass on the riding lawn mower!

The phone calls I received today from people who found me on the internet.\ My little chihuahuas that keep me in the "now" whenever I need to slow down.

Tell us what you appreciate about yourself, your family or your friends TODAY.

Your turn!

Interesting that you suggest gratitude for relational stuff instead of  commission cheques  in the mail or financial rewards of any kind. I'm grateful for my family and how they express such support in real ways beside the words, which are also price- less.  I have extended family from both sides of our families that are the best. They make me proud to be associated with them.
My wife is patient, supportive and caring, always puts other's needs ahead of hers. She has been supportive of me in my Amsoil business since the first commission cheque came in the mail.

Hi Linda!

I must say that I might not be alive if it were not for my wife who changed my life! I thought I had lost everything and was to give up when I met her and everything changed! HEY! Love is Grand!

Hi Linda,

I love the topic of gratitude.  I also, like Rudy, find it refreshing that you are expressing gratitude for relational versus material things.

I am grateful fo God every day for an understanding and supportive husband, my best friend.  I am grateful for an new day each day where I can learn and help others.  I am grateful for butterflies and birds and all of the beauty of nature that slows me down for a deep breath when I start to get overwhelmed.  I am grateful for my cats, Mischief and Spanky, who add so much joy and laughter to my life.  I am thankful that God has graced me with great friends and 2 loving sons and 4 very marvelous grandchildren.  My gratitude goes beyond anything that could possibly be written in this forum - I would run out of time and space and well, I think you get the picture.

Thanks for the forum!  It was a great opportunity to write down just the little I did.  I will look forward the to posts to the forum.  All of us here should have a very grateful day!

Love you too, Linda!

Judy
