Last week our SunShine Profile featured the Afghanistan Kite Project. The web site is
www.kite4kids.com If you didn’t get a chance to visit please do so now.
This weeks profile is about four young men names, all friends, Dave Lingwood, Ben Nemtin, Duncan Penn, and his brother Jonnie.
With nothing but a map, a borrowed RV and a lot of enthusiasm they have embarked on an adventure. T
ouring as The Buried Life squad, they tour British Columbia, Canada filming their experiences for a documentary.
Along the way, their goal is to inspire youth to dream. “As we talk to kids. We’re finding that some are pretty lost…they don’ have the motivation to do what they want to do in life. People don’t really believe in themselves or their goals,” said Dave Lingwood.
Their goal is to cross of as many of their 100 things-to-do-before-you-die list as they can in the few weeks they have.
Just to give you a flavour of their list here are some of their items.
#2 Lead a Parade
#6 Tell a joke on late night TV
#10 perform on the street and make $100 dollars
#22 approach the most beautiful girl they’ve ever seen and kiss her.
So far, they have crossed off 12 of their tasks.
When they engage people in the street they get blank stare at first, but people soon warm up to listing their top 100 list and soon they start dreaming too.
They have a website at
www.theburiedlife.com Please visit, send them an email of encouragement, have a look at their blog full of pictures. These kids are having a blast, living life loud and full of purpose and Beautiful Summer Morning.Com salutes them.
Actions like these change the world for the better one little step at a time.
