I think it sure helps when the person you want to open your email ad is expecting it these days.
I know myself, if I don't know the person who's sending the email or where it's coming from I never open them. Doesn't matter what the subject line is.
Where, on the other hand if I know and respect the person sending me an ad I will take the time to read it.
I think it's all about earning respect with your contacts and providing them with valuable information.
Marketing on the internet is not what it used to be. People these days are more aware of whats going on...
