Thought and Faith: What Effect on Man’s Life?
6/25/2006 8:20:44 AM
I have been debating within me what could be the effect of my thoughts and faith on my circumstances in life. Do I determine what happen to me in life? Are circumstances that I find myself in my making? How do I determine exactly what will happen to me? I read it that circumstance does not maketh man but man maketh circumstance. That, man being very creative and being the shaper and author of environment actually designs his environments and conditions through habitual mental attitude and his predominant state of mind. This makes man a thinking center, a thought powerhouse. Man can decide what to become not by just wishing and fancying or his whims but by his innermost thoughts and desires. Whatever happens in our outer world is a direct reflection of what had and still happening in the world within us. However way we choose to do things has a direct relationship with the way we think about things. This world within us is the world where we both consciously and unconsciously design the shape things and events in our real outer world is going to take. And this most important world is governed by our mind. James Allen said “Man is made or unmade by himself. In the armory of thought he forges the weapon by which he destroys himself. He also fashions the tools with which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy and strengths and peace”. Wallace D. Wattles also said “All the forms that a person fashions with his hands must first exist in his thought. He cannot shape a thing until he has thought that thing”.
